Intern Program

We are excited to offer young adults aged 18 - 22 the opportunity to develop their spiritual growth and servant leadership skills through our camp Intern Program. This role is designed for those who are passionate about SYC, its goals and working behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of camp. Interns will gain valuable experience in personal spiritual growth, leadership and teamwork, all while making a meaningful impact on SYC. We are looking for up to twelve dedicated individuals for SYC 2025 who are ready to work hard and grow in their spiritual and leadership journey.

Intern Expectations

1. Mandatory Pre-Camp Meeting: Attend a mandatory pre-camp meeting to receive essential training and information.
2. Arrival and Orientation: Arrive at camp on Saturday, July 19 for orientation and initial setup.
3. Daily Responsibilities: Attend morning prayer meetings, engage in devotional times, and participate in team meetings to ensure spiritual grounding and coordination. Serve in various capacities throughout the week, ensuring the smooth operation of camp activities.
4. Leadership and Conduct: Be an example of Godly leadership, demonstrating kindness, integrity, and a servant’s heart. Follow all camp rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
5. End of Camp Responsibilities: Help with camp clean-up on Saturday, July 26 to leave the campsite in excellent condition for future use.

Application Period

Fill out the form above with your personal details, church involvement, and motivation for joining. Provide two references, including one from your church leadership.

Review & Selection

Our team will assess applications based on completeness and passion for servant leadership. Some applicants may be invited for a virtual interview.

Notification

Accepted interns will receive an acceptance package with further details. Those not selected will be encouraged to apply again in the future.

June - July

Training & Preparation

All interns must attend a pre-camp training covering leadership, spiritual development, camp operations, and team-building.

July 19

Onsite Orientation

Interns will receive a hands-on orientation at camp to prepare for their roles.
